Well... after the 2nd hike to Trieste there was still the remaining red Via Alpina to Monaco to hike. So off I went!

Pyrenees: GR11 and GR10 (Website in German)
The alps are really pretty to hike, but I wondered about other areas with possible long-distance hikes. This hike showed me the Pyrenees. First on the Spanish side following the GR11 from the Mediterranean sea to the Atlantic. Then, back on the GR10 on the French side to the Mediterranean sea.

Why I did this trip? Someone told me that this is the longest long-distance hiking trip (regarding distance) world wide. So I went off this one and experienced an amazing, unbelievable hiking trip through areas of the states which are breathtaking. Literally! There were plenty of wild fires ;-)
